We exist to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus who love God passionately and love others unconditionally.
God is a missionary. In his foreknowledge, he established a rescue plan before he even laid the foundations of the earth. God knew that the very people he lovingly created for the purpose of enjoying Him and making Him known would one day turn their backs on him and their designed purpose. In walking, away from God and his perfect purposes humanity brought brokenness and death to their relationships with God, one another, and the world. The good news of the gospel is that God is a loving God who desires to reconcile the world to Himself and its purpose. Therefore, our missionary God sent His Son Jesus to rescue us from the brokenness. Jesus made it clear that the good news of the gospel that saves us is also the same news that sends us. Jesus’s strategy for the ministry of reconciliation is called disciple-making. This disciple-making process was one in which Jesus chose 12 men to be with him, be changed into his likeness, and be sent on his mission. Multiplying disciples of Jesus is God’s method for accomplishing His ministry of reconciliation.
Therefore, at Fellowship Bible Church we are committed to making disciples of Jesus who will in turn make disciples of Jesus.
We define a disciple as someone who is abiding in Christ, reflecting Christ’s character, and Investing in others.
Through our “The Things” discipleship strategy found in the life of Jesus and written by the Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 2:2 we are equipping God’s people to carry our God’s mission through the method of multiplying disciple makers.
2 Tim 2:2 - And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.
