Working with mission partners, community partners, schools, and civic groups are just a few of the aspects of Kris' work. He is developing the Engage Neighbors and Nations strategies of Fellowship to help equip members to more effectively share Jesus with their families, neighbors, community and the nations. He finds great joy in seeing people come to Christ as well as seeing every member of FBC 'leave the building' to share Jesus with their neighbors and with the nations.
With a BA in social work, five years of volunteer work in community outreach and evangelism, and five years of social work experience with non-profit organizations, Kris went on to study at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary earning a M.Div. degree with an emphasis in Missions, Evangelism and Church Growth. He served two Kentucky churches in the area of Evangelism and Community Outreach. His passion is to serve in a church that understands that outreach, evangelism and discipleship go hand-in-hand. Kris and wife Kimberly, a social worker, have two children that keep them very busy.
