Senior High Pastor

Fellowship Family,

As you know, we have been searching for a High School Pastor for some time now. We have been on our knees, pouring our petitions out to God in regard to this matter for more than a year. While we have entertained a large number of resumes, had countless interviews, and even brought in a number of well-qualified candidates to teach over this span of time each instance ended with clear direction from God, “Keep searching”.

It is my joy and pleasure to report to you that this search is now over. Starting on December 16, Brandon Howland, currently of Boise, Idaho, will join our Student Ministry team.

Brandon

Brandon Howland has been involved in ministry as a full time pastor or intern since 2000.  He is
married to Melissa, his lovely bride of 5 plus years, and has two wonderful kids, Dax Jacoby (3) and Kaya Angelee (1).  Brandon has a heart for students and a passion to proclaim the gospel and advance God’s Kingdom in the lives of others.  He enjoys golfing, hunting, traveling, and of course hanging with his family.  He lives by the motto of being intentional in everything he preaches, plans, and does. Intentional moments with students can lead to divine movements in their lives.

Over the course of our phone calls, interviews and meetings with Brandon, we have been struck with his love for the Lord and His Word.  He has a passion for connecting students with their loving Savior and an ability to open up the Word and convey the truth of God in a clear, compelling and engaging manner.  During the interview process the Lord has confirmed this choice in many different ways, through many different people.  We are confident that Brandon Howland is God’s man for this time and this place.

Here are a few words from Brandon:

“I want to start by saying how excited my family and I are to be joining the team of amazing pastors at Fellowship. God has clearly opened this door for us and we look forward to many intentional ministry moments with you, the parents, and the students. This ministry has great potential for tremendous growth through the power of God working in the lives of those who lead it. I am thrilled to join the team and look forward to advancing His kingdom alongside you all. See you soon!”

Please be in prayer for Brandon and his family as they seek to “leave well” from their current ministry and begin engaging our students and families here at FBC!

On a personal note, thank you for faithfully and continuously lifting up Student Ministry, my family, and myself over the past year and a half. Your support and care has meant more than you could ever know! I am so thankful for my Fellowship family.

God bless,
