Fellowship Young Adults Engage with Our Nations

Caleb Womack, along with four other young men, recently returned from serving with Medical Missions Ministries in Guatemala. He shares the following to encourage us as we Engage Neighbors and Nations.

Caleb:

Wow! I don’t even know where to start. This week in Guatemala has truly been more than our team could have ever imagined. God blew me away as I got to see my vision of taking college kids on a week-long “date with Jesus” come to fruition. At first, I was a little concerned that our team was so small, and I was asking God things like, “Are you sure you know what You are doing Lord?” I’m pretty sure God just smiled at me when I asked Him this because He definitely knew what He was doing. God made Himself so present on our trip and has continued to do so since we returned home.

We witnessed many miracles and healings first hand. I can recall one lady who could barely walk because she was in so much pain. As I was talking with her, God urged me to call Anthony over to pray for her. Within seconds, the lady was healed and even our translator was confused for a moment because it seemed unimaginable. But, that is the Power of the Holy Spirit!

Part of what made this trip so special for me was how close we all became. I think because there were just five of us, we felt very comfortable with each other and it made our team that much more available to be used by God. One of the coolest things that happened to me was that everywhere we went, the number “3” seemed to be following us around. I’m talking billboard signs, license plates, prescription slips, patient numbers, literally everywhere. The number “3” represents Holiness in the Bible and we all agreed that it was God’s way of showing us that He was right there with us everywhere we went. We started taking pictures of them and by the end of the week, we had 33 pictures of “3”! Tell me that isn’t God! There are so many other stories that I could share, and we have a blog that includes more highlights from the trip at guatemala2017collegetrip.wordpress.com.

I’m excited to see what God does on our four campuses this fall. This week was an incredible time of growing with the Lord and preparing for ministry in our schools. Thank you so much for faithfully praying for us. We love you all!
